    (NEW YORK) — The former store clerk who confessed to the 1979 killing of Etan Patz was formally charged Friday with second degree murder of the little boy exactly 33 years to the day after he disappeared while on his way to school. Pedro Hernandez, who despite a more than three decades-long investigation was never the target of police until this week, was arrested Wednesday at his home in New Jersey and promptly confessed to kidnapping and killing Patz.     (VALPARAISO, Ind.) — A gunman has released the last two remaining hostages at an office building in Indiana, but he remains inside and armed, police said Friday. No hostages remain in the Prudential real estate office that a gunman ambushed Friday, believing someone in the office owed him money, according to Sgt. Mike Grennes of the Valparaiso police department. One woman suffered a head injury during the hostage situation, but there were no injuries caused by gunshots, he said.     Federal Worker Savings Plan Computers Hit in Cyber-Attack

    (WASHINGTON) — Last month the FBI notified the Thrift Savings Plan, the contribution retirement savings plan for Federal employees, that a contractor’s computer systems had been breached in a complex cyber-attack with 123,000 Social Security numbers being compromised. According to the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board (FRTIB) the FBI discovered the breach last month but it was not disclosed until Friday. The hacking was targeted against computers of Serco Inc., the company that runs the computer systems for the TSP.  Initial information indicates that the hacking incident took place in July 2011.     The 4th Annual Guitars of the Stars Benefit auction is set for Thursday, June 7 at the CMA Music Festival’s Buckle State in Nashville. Artists ranging from The Band Perry and Keith Urban to Loretta Lynn and Dierks Bentley have donated autographed guitars inspired by their hits to the auction. In honor of their latest #1 hit, Rascal Flatts has donated a banjo to the cause.     Gunman Holds Indiana Office Workers Hostage

    (VALPARAISO, Ind.) — Police and FBI agents are in a “standoff situation” with a gunman who stormed an Indiana office building and is holding an unknown number of office workers hostage, according to police. “We’re basically in a standoff situation,” Sgt. Mike Grennes of the Valparaiso police department said at a press conference. “From what I understand, he is not an employee.” The gunman, whose identity is known to police, remains in the building with the hostages.
