  • Accused murdered wants freedom

    SANFORD–One of the men accused in the shooting death of basketball legend Michal Jordan’s father in 1993 is making a case to have his conviction overturned.   • The Tarheel Traveler is coming to town

    SANFORD–WRAL award winning journlist and host of the Tarheel Traveler, Scott Mason, will be the guest speaker for the Farm City Week Ladies Luncheon at the McSwain Center at noon Wed.   • No mail delivery Wednesday

    SANFORD–If you were looking for a check or a Christmas card in the mail Wednesday, you’ll have to wait until Thursday. There will be no mail delivery in honor of the funeral of President George Bush. People who receive their newspapers by mail are reminded that they will receive them Thursday.   • A KODIAC memory

    SANFORD–The appearance of the Clysdale horses, compliments of Express Employment & Joe Clancy, made for some memorable moments during the Sanford Christmas Parade Monday evening. There was a line leading from the street to the Elks Club on Carthage street for a picture with the gigantic horses. The kodiac moment came at the end of the parade when the horses, pulling a fairy tale carriage, carried Santa and Mrs. Clause.   • The Clysdales are coming

    SANFORD– One of the high lights of the Sanford Christmas Parade Monday evening will be the appearance of 6 Clysdale horses, compliments of Joe Clancey and Employment Express.
