  • Two local men jailed following a shooting incident

    SANFORD–A man was shot in the head as he waited in his car on Firetower Road Sunday morning. The victim was supposed to meet someone there to purchase an I-phone.     SANFORD–Parents are reminded to sign their children up for free dental care when the Give A Kid A Smile Program is hospted Friday at Central Carolina Community College by local doctors and college dental students.   • A man seriously injured when struck by a vehicle

    PINEBLUFF–A 50 year old Moore County man was seriously injured when he was struck by a vehicle on US one around 11:30 am Sunday night. An air helicopter was summoned, however, due to weather conditions, was unable to fly. The victim was transported by ambulance to Moore Regional Hospital.   • The Stevens Center will kick off Valentine’s in a big way

    SANFORD–The Stevens Center located on Kelly Drive will be the site of a special pre valentine’s event Saturday. A Valentine’s Dinner with an Auction and Entertainment will be held and proceeds will benefit the programming at the center for handicapped kids. A full attendance is expected.
