Lady Antebellum will compete for Vocal Group of the Year at the 52nd CMA Awards, a trophy they’ve taken home three times before.

Hillary Scott found out the news Tuesday, after Luke BryanSugarland and Dan + Shay announced the contenders on ABC’s Good Morning America.

“We have a…huge Lady A…group message going on that’s just constant,” Hillary explains. “We got a text early morning, like so many other early mornings like this that we had a Vocal Group of the Year nomination… With each year that goes by, I’m just so thankful we’re invited to the party.”

The “Heart Break” hitmaker is quick to offer praise for fellow nominees Little Big TownOld DominionMidland and LANCO.

“Our genre right now, I am so unbelievably proud to be a part of it,” Hillary tells ABC Radio. “There are so many new bands, new groups that are just exploding, that are doing incredible things. And so to be included in the lineup is just really…incredible.”

In a career filled with accolades, for Hillary, this is a particularly significant nomination.

“I did a little big of Google-ing, and it’s our 22nd nomination…” she says. “I was the number 22 in basketball in middle school, and my dad was [too]… So that was like, ‘Oh man. Twenty-two. This is awesome.'”

“But more than anything,” Hillary continues, “that is such a reminder of, [the fact that] we’ve been doing this for over ten years. I cannot believe that we’ve been in this town, [and been] a part of this country music community [for that long], and we’re just so grateful. We’re really, really grateful.”

We’ll find out who wins November 14, when the 52nd CMAs air live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on ABC.
