(SAN DIEGO) — The San Diego Medical Examiner has concluded that a Navy SEAL, Seaman James Derek Lovelace, 21, drowned during a pool training exercise on May 5 and determined that the death should be considered to be a homicide.
Defense officials stress that the medical examiner’s homicide ruling does not mean a crime has committed only that it involved an incident by one’s own hand.
