(DENVER) — A storm system in the Rockies took an even more dangerous turn with whiteout conditions.
A spring snowstorm caused more than 800 flights to be canceled at Denver Airport on Saturday, creating up to 2 feet of snow in some mountain areas.
On Friday night, the storm system brought tornadoes that hit Colorado and Texas.
Although the snowy weather may be good for ski resorts, Kimberly Dunn has been stranded at Denver Airport since Friday, and was “frustrated” by the severe weather and canceled flights.
“I had to sleep here last night,” she told ABC News. “And it keeps getting cancelled.”
Meteorologists expect the storm system to push east by Sunday.
