(WALNUT RIDGE, Ark.) — A dust storm in northeastern Arkansas led to dangerous driving conditions on Sunday.
Blowing dust caused by gusts of wind up to 35 to 45 miles per hour and dry weather affected the Arkansas-Missouri border area.
According to the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, the dust storm could have been a factor in a 12-car pile-up that left at least 11 people injured.
A Blowing Dust Advisory was in effect until 9 p.m. CT Sunday for northeast Arkansas counties.
