Thursday night, Florida Georgia Line will welcome the New Year in a much quieter way than they did last year, since they’re not working. Tyler Hubbard and Bryan Kelley finished 2014 by playing the biggest December 31 gig of all, Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest. Bryan admits it’ll be hard to top that one as ways to ring in the new year go.

“Probably my favorite New Year’s ever was last year, we got to play Times Square with Taylor Swift. Ryan Seacrest’s show, man it was incredible night, like a million people, plus the energy of New York City was just incredible. We had our wives there, tons of fans man,” he recalls. “We’ll never forget that. As a child just watching that on TV, that ball drop, never could’ve imagined watching that in person. So, just blown away by that.”

This year, Carrie Underwood and Luke Bryan are among the big names playing the show that starts at 8 p.m. ET Thursday night on ABC.

Right now, Tyler and Bryan are enjoying some time off before they kick off their tour of Australia on March 8.
