(PALESTINE, Texas) — A suspect has been charged after six people were found dead from a Texas campsite murder.
Sunday morning, police were called to a campsite between the Tennessee Colony and the Harmony Community after reports of a shooting. There they found the bodies of a male and female in a travel trailer, said police, but four males were unaccounted for.
ABC News affiliate KLTV reported that one female survivor was found on a road Sunday and called 911.
According to a statement from the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, 33-year-old William Hudson was arrested and charged with one count of murder on Sunday.
On Monday, police searched Hudson’s home and removed four bodies from a pond in his backyard.
Police have not released information about the deceased, but the survivor is related to some of them. The investigation is ongoing and Hudson’s bail is set at $2.5 million.
