(WICHITA, Kan.) — An American Airlines flight made an emergency landing in Wichita, Kansas, Tuesday after a passenger on board allegedly became disruptive.

Flight 622 was en route from Phoenix to John F. Kennedy Airport in New York with 121 passengers and six crew members, an American Airlines spokesman said.

Passenger Troy Petrunoff told ABC News, “We were in the air for about an hour and a half when everything went down. A flight attendant mentioned there was a security concern and we’re going to take someone off the plane.”

An air traffic control transcript was released, detailing the pilot’s requesting an emergency landing.

Local law enforcement officers met the plane at the gate.

The flight resumed shortly afterwards, continuing without incident and landing in New York just after midnight.
