(OMAHA, Neb.) — They probably should’ve gone trick-or-treating instead.
According to an Omaha police report, one woman tried to pet a tiger and got bit after she and a friend gained “unauthorized entry” at Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium on Halloween night.
The suspect has been identified as Jackqueline Eide, 33, and police reported she showed signs of intoxication of alcohol or drugs.
Eide’s friend took her to a hospital were she was treated for “severe trauma to her hand.”
A statement released by the Henry Doorly Zoo said security watches the grounds at all times with the help of security cameras and path lighting.
“The safety and security of our guests and animals are always a priority at Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium,” said Dennis Pate, Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium’s executive director and CEO in the statement.
