Move over Tim McGraw, performer. Here comes Tim McGraw, historian. In December, fans will have a unique chance to see a different side of the musical superstar and actor. First, Tim presents the Nashville Public Library’s 2015 Literary Award to Pulitzer Prize-winner Jon Meacham.

Then, Tim will participate in a lecture and conversation with the presidential scholar, who’s written books about Andrew Jackson and George H.W. Bush. The free December 7 event starts at 6:15 p.m. CT, and will likely last a couple hours.

An admitted history buff, Tim has hinted in the past he might be open to running for political office if the time was right. His latest album, Damn Country Music, comes out November 6.
