(ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.) — Police in Albuquerque, New Mexico arrested a suspect Thursday in connection to a shooting that left a police officer critically injured, authorities said.

The suspect was identified as Davon Lymon, 34.

It appears the officer, who has not been identified, was engaged in a traffic stop when there was an altercation, Albuquerque Police Chief Gorden Eden, Jr. said. The officer, an eight-year veteran of the department, was shot multiple times.
