Attorneys for Blake Shelton on Monday filed a a lawsuit against the company that publishes In Touch Weekly, charging that the magazine libeled the singer with its September 28 cover story alleging that Blake checked into rehab for alcoholism after his divorce from Miranda Lambert.

“Blake Shelton has had enough,” the suit reads. “Mr. Shelton is not in rehab and has no plans to go to rehab,” which, the suit said, the publishers would have known had they contacted any reps for the singer prior to publication. Claiming that the story is both false and damaging, the suit, filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, seeks $2 million in damages.

The lawsuit comes just days before the star of The Voice releases his new album, Reloaded: 20 #1 Hits.
