(SEATTLE) — Another person has died from the Seattle duck boat crash.
A fifth person died on Sunday from injuries sustained in a collision Thursday between a bus and a Seattle duck boat on Aurora Bridge.
The victim, a 20-year-old woman, was an international student attending North Seattle College.
According to an investigation from the National Transportation Safety Board, the “Ride the Ducks” duck boat that crashed was supposed to have been repaired, but wasn’t.
Earl Weener of the NTSB revealed at a news conference on Sunday the Seattle duck was refurbished in 2005, and in 2013, Ride the Ducks International recommended repairs citing potential axle failure.
Weener said the NTSB was unaware if the company was aware of the advisory.
The investigation is ongoing.
