(WASHINGTON) — Pope Francis will make a historic speech Thursday on Capitol Hill before traveling to New York City.
With his address, he will become the first pontiff to speak to a joint meeting of Congress. The pope is scheduled to arrive in New York City in time for an evening prayer at St. Patrick’s Cathedral.
On Wednesday, Pope Francis visited the White House, drawing thousands of cheering fans.
