(CHICAGO) — A pair of military parachute jumpers were injured on Saturday during performances at the Chicago Air and Water Show.
Donna Dixon, a public affairs officer with the Army Golden Knights said one of the two parachutists was a Golden Knight and was in serious condition. That individual reportedly hit or clipped an apartment building on Lake Shore Drive on the way to the ground.
The second parachutist, a U.S. Navy sailor, is in stable condition with a lower leg fracture after landing on the beach.
The two parachutists apparently collided in mid-air.
