(BATON ROUGE, La.) — Miss Oklahoma, Olivia Jordan, won the Miss USA pageant Sunday in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
The 26-year-old triumphed over first runner-up Yliana Guerra of Texas and second runner-up Anea Garcia of Rhode Island.
Jordan succeeds 2014 winner Nia Sanchez of Nevada.
The pageant’s owner, Donald Trump, has been embroiled in controversy in recent weeks over remarks he made about Mexican immigrants. In the wake of his comments, NBC, Univision, and the pageant’s original hosts cut ties with the event. The pageant was aired Sunday by Reelz.
