(BALTIMORE) — Three people are dead and another is injured after a shooting near the University of Maryland, Baltimore campus Tuesday night, ABC News affiliate WMAR-TV reports.

According to authorities, the shooting took place just before 11 p.m. in the 900 block of West Fayette Street.

One of the victims died at the scene and two others died from their injuries at a nearby hospital, WMAR says. The fourth victim is in stable condition at a hospital.

The university released a statement Tuesday advising students to use caution in the area. There’s no word whether any of the victims were students at the school.

The shooting remains under investigation.
