(DALLAS) — Police are investigating after a shooting took place inside the terminal at Dallas-Fort Worth Airport on Friday.
According to a statement released by the airport’s Senior Manager for Public Affairs, David Magaña, an outside law enforcement agency officer was escorting a prisoner through the airport on Friday. The two men apparently got into an altercation in a restroom inside the terminal. One shot was reportedly fired.
Both the officer and the prisoner were taken to local hospitals. No one else was injured in the incident.
No flights were affected by the incident, though the area around the site of the incident was closed for investigation.
