(SACRAMENTO, Calif.) — A United Airlines flight bound for Denver was forced to make an emergency landing on Friday morning after it experienced a possible bird strike.

According to United, the pilots reported the possible strike and were able to land the plane safely back at the airport in Sacramento. They then taxied the plane to the gate.

“We are assisting our customers in the gate area,” the airline said, adding that “our maintenance team is inspecting the aircraft.”

The plane, a Boeing 737, was carrying 129 passengers and six crew members.
