(NEW YORK) — The moment something that may have been a meteor streaked across the sky was captured on a New Jersey motorist’s dashboard video camera.

Pete Czech posted on Twitter that he took the video around 6:33 p.m. Monday night as he traveled along Route 287 in Morris County.

A mysterious bright light can be seen streaking across the sky in the upper right frame of the video, which was taken with a Garmin Dash Cam.

The American Meteor Society lists 330 reports of possible fireballs lighting up the night sky in the northeast on Dec. 29, stretching from Maine to Maryland.
