Shania Twain wrapped up her two-year residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas over the weekend, and she’s using the occasion to shine a light on an important cause. The Canadian native’s just released a PSA against family violence for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police’s YouTube channel.

In the clip, Shania encourages people to report incidents of family violence to the police. She also stresses that abuse can be physical, sexual or emotional and can happen in any family.

“Family violence shouldn’t be kept a secret,” says Shania. “You can break the silence. There’s always someone who can help.”

Now that she’s finished with her shows in Las Vegas, Shania’s continuing her work in the studio, making new music.
