(MILWAUKEE) — A family in Milwaukee, Wisconsin is demanding justice for a five-year-old girl who was shot and killed in her own home.
Relatives of Laylah Petersen held a news conference late Saturday asking anybody to step forward with information about who fired at least a dozen shots at the home before driving-off.
Laylah was sitting on her grandfather’s lap watching television when one of the bullets struck her in the head.
In a news conference at police headquarters, Milwaukee Police Chief Ed Flynn promised to find the killer.
“The men and women of this department, they are not going to rest until we bring the perpetrators of this vicious crime to justice,” Flynn said.
