(CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.) — Remains have been found in the search for Hannah Graham, a University of Virginia student who went missing on Sept. 13.
Police have not confirmed that the remains, which were found on an abandoned property, are those of Graham. Forensic testing was being performed on them to determine an identity, Charlottesville Police Chief Timothy Longo said.
The 18-year-old sophomore disappeared in the early morning hours of Sept. 13 and was last seen with a man who police said was Jesse Matthew.
Matthew was arrested in Galveston, Texas, on Sept. 24 and was charged with abduction with intent to defile.
