SANFORD–Voting along party lines, Lee County Commissioners adopted the budget for the new fiscal year Monday evening. The budget keeps the tax rate at $.72 per $100 property valuation despite a request from Commissioner Robert Reives to put the three cents removed last year, back into the budget. The vote was 3-4 with the three democrats voting in opposition.
