(WASHINGTON) — The U.S. Capitol Building was briefly evacuated on Saturday after a small airplane flew into restricted airspace.

According to the Capitol Police Public Information Office, the plane got too close to the Capitol and was not communicating, prompting an evacuation of Capitol staff. The pilot came back into communication and exited the restricted airspace.

The Secret Service said that the incident occurred at about 1:35 p.m. There was “no effect” on security at the White House complex.

The pilot is expected to be interviewed by Secret Service, as part of standard procedure following a violation of restricted airspace in Washington, D.C.
