(WASHINGTON) — There’s controversy bubbling over a proposed museum on the National Mall dedicated to women’s history.
The House could vote on Wednesday to establish a commission tasked with setting up such a museum.
A National Women’s History Museum enjoys bipartisan support, with Rep. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., leading the charge.
But other Republicans worry about the museum’s mission. Minnesota Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann has expressed concern it could become “a shrine to abortion.”
