(WASHINGTON) — President Obama will travel later this month to the site of the mudslide near Seattle, where 36 people have been found dead and a dozen others are still missing.
The White House said Tuesday the president will stop in Oso, Wash., on April 22 to “view the devastation from the recent mudslide and meet with the families affected by this disaster, as well as first responders and recovery workers.”
The president’s stop will come just ahead of a planned trip to Asia.
