(DENVER) — A job fair was held in Denver Thursday to recruit prospective employees interested in working in the legal marijuana industry.
With the recreational use of marijuana now legal in Colorado, 17 different marijuana businesses are looking to hire 150 people.
Job seekers from across the country and even as far as Singapore lined up around the block, and some waited in line for over five hours for a chance at a pot job. The pot positions go far beyond the grow house and include sales reps, designers and marketing professionals.
Shannon Irvin of St. Louis learned about the job fair in a Facebook post and drove 13 hours from his native St. Louis to apply for a position.
