Eric Paslay‘s songs have been on the radio for years now, but he wasn’t the one singing them. Eric is the writer behind Jake Owen‘s “Barefoot Blue Jean Night” and Eli Young Band‘s “Even if It Breaks Your Heart.” Now he’s stepping out with his own hit, “Friday Night.” It’s the first single from his upcoming self-titled debut album due out February 4. Eric plans to tour behind the album relentlessly in 2014.
“My goal is to play as many shows and enjoy doing it,” Eric tells ABC News Radio. “So, I’ve got plenty of shows to play, so make sure that I’m grateful for every single one of ’em. Even when I’m completely tired to realize, “Holy crap, you’re getting to play for people.'”
Eric encourages his fans to do their homework before catching one of his concerts next year.
He says, “I’m excited that people are going to be able to get my album and sing along to it in their car and then maybe come out and see a show, and we’ll get to sing ’em together.”
Eric rings in 2014 with a New Year’s Eve show in Nashville.
