(NEW YORK) — For the second straight year, motorists in Louisiana have earned the dubious distinction of being named the country’s worst drivers, according to a survey by CarInsuranceComparison.com.

In determining its worst drivers rankings, the website compiled data on fatality rates per 100 million miles traveled, citations for failure to obey traffic signals and seat belt laws, DUI infractions, and tickets for speeding and careless driving. The data comes from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the National Motorists Association and MADD.

According to CarInsuranceComparison.com, drivers in Louisiana landed in the number-one spot by finishing in the top five in the categories of failure to obey traffic signals and seat belt laws, speeding tickets and careless driving.

  3. Mississippi
  4. Texas
  5. Alabama
  6. Florida
