(PALM COAST, Fla.) — Cleanup efforts are underway in Palm Coast, Fla., after a tornado barreled through the area Saturday night.
The tornado, which the National Weather Service on Sunday assigned a preliminary rating of EF1, is believed to be the first to hit the city, Palm Coast spokeswoman Cindi Lane told ABC News Radio. There is evidence winds may have reached 110 miles per hour.
In total, 171 Palm Coast houses were affected by the storms: 142 houses were partially damaged, 22 houses sustained moderate damage, and seven homes were destroyed. No injuries were reported.
Utility crews were working Sunday to restore power to the area.
