SANFORD–The Jaycee sponsored Sanford Christmas Parade is being hailed as one of the largest and best in quite some time. Thousands lined the sidewalks and other perches Monday evening to see the floats, beauty queens public officials, dancers, walkers and of course, Santa. One of the highlights this year was the appearance of the Harnett County Shriners driving tiny race cars. There are at least seven parades in the area during the season. The Broadway Parade is scheduled December 14 and is one of the largest in the area.
