(APOPKA, Fla.) — A recent search of George Zimmerman’s home revealed five guns and more than 100 rounds of ammunition shortly after he was arrested on Nov. 18.
A search warrant made public Tuesday lists three handguns, a 12-gauge shotgun and an AR15 rifle found in the home he shares with his girlfriend.
Zimmerman’s recent arrest came after his girlfriend, Samantha Scheibe, told a 911 dispatcher he grew upset during an argument and brandished a weapon at her.
Scheibe said Zimmerman then pushed her out the home that they have shared ever since Zimmerman became estranged with his wife and locked her out. Authorities said when they arrived, Scheibe gave them keys to the home, and that they had to push through obstacles by the door to get in.
Zimmerman told deputies he and Schiebe lived together since Aug. 23 and are expecting a child.
Deemed a “domestic disturbance,” Zimmerman faces a felony charge of aggravated assault and lesser charges of battery domestic violence and criminal mischief.
He was released on bail and entered a written plea of not guilty.
The November incident is the latest in the former Neighborhood Watch volunteer’s string of run-ins with the law.
Zimmerman became a controversial figure when he shot and killed unarmed black teen Trayvon Martin. He was acquitted of second-degree murder in July.
In September, he was released after being arrested without charges after his wife called 911 to say Zimmerman punched his father-in-law in the nose and threatened to shoot him and his wife.
He has also been pulled over for speeding, once in July and once in September.
