SANFORD–It’s Halloween which, according to economists, is becoming one of the leading celebrations of the year. Thousands of dollars are spent in costumes, decorations and parties. Locally, trick or treat hours are limited from 6 to 9 pm. Many churches have planned special activities to keep children from door to door trick or treating. Local law enforcement officers and Poison control remind parents to follow the rules. Remind children not to eat treats until they return home. Throw away unfamiliar brands of candy. Limit the amount of candy ingested at one time, and refrain from purchasing glow in the dark jewelry. It’s unsafe.
