Darius Rucker‘s latest single, “Radio,” is a nod to his lifelong love of listening to music over the airwaves. Darius first scored success on the radio as a member of Hootie & The Blowfish in the ’90s, and went on to have a second act as a solo country star thanks to his #1 radio hits like “Don’t Think I Don’t Think About It” and “Wagon Wheel.” He’s quick to credit the gatekeepers at country radio with his latest round of success.

Darius says, I’m not crazy. I’m not stupid. I’m not sitting here thinking that I’m this great artist who everybody has to listen to, ’cause that’s not true. I got lucky and the people at radio like me and they play my stuff.”

Darius’s country radio hits led to him becoming a Grand Ole Opry member last year.
