(SAN FRANCISCO) — Charges will not be filed against the San Francisco firefighter who ran over and killed one of the victims from the Asiana Airlines crash in July.
“After a review of the reports and evidence provided to us, I have concluded that there is no criminal culpability for any individual involved in the response to the airline crash,” District Attorney Stephen M. Wagstaffe said in a statement Friday.
“The death of 16 year old Le Mangyuan was a tragic accident that did not involve any violation of our criminal laws,” Wagstaffe continued.
The victim, 16-year-old Ye Mangyuan, was covered in firefighting foam when she was hit.
