Carrie Underwood is featured on the soundtrack to NBC’s live production of The Sound of Music, due out December 3.  She plays Maria Von Trapp in the TV broadcast, which airs December 5.  Clearly, the soundtrack won’t be a recording of the actual live broadcast.

The full cast, including True Blood‘s Stephen Moyer as Captain Von Trapp, joins Carrie on the soundtrack singing classic songs from the musical like “My Favorite Things,” “Do-Re-Mi” and “Climb Ev’ry Mountain.” The soundtrack is now available for pre-order at Amazon.com.
