(LOS ANGELES) — Authorities have arrested the person they believe is responsible for four dry ice bombs placed in secure areas of Los Angeles International Airport, LAPD confirms.
Police say they apprehended Dicarlo Bennett, an employee of Servisair, a company that performs aircraft ground service, Tuesday night.
Security has been tightened at Los Angeles International Airport as officials scoured surveillance footage for the culprit responsible for the bombs.
Two of the bombs exploded and two were discovered and disabled before they were detonated, police said.
The first explosion happened Sunday in a terminal men’s bathroom and the second on Monday night near a gate, in an area accessible only to employees, police said. No one was injured.
