Billy Currington‘s video for “Hey Girl” looks like it was shot at some exotic carnival complete with fire breathers, fire jugglers, dancers and people dressed in dragon costumes. The clip was actually shot in a spot in downtown Nashville called the Arcade, and Billy wasn’t quite sure about the carnival idea when the director, Kristin Barlowe, first pitched it.
He says with a laugh, “I seen that in there about dancers and fire and this and that. I was like, ‘Are we shooting a circus here or what?'”
Billy finally came around about the festive video, and he’s pleased with the final result. “Hey Girl” is the lead single from Billy’s latest album, We Are Tonight, now in stores.
