The Band Perry and Fall Out Boy teamed up in Nashville Wednesday afternoon to tape their upcoming CMT Crossroads special. The two bands traded vocals on The Band Perry hits “Done.,” “If I Die Young,” “Better Dig Two” and “Don’t Let Me Be Lonely” as well as Fall Out Boy’s “Sugar, We’re Goin Down,” “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up)” and “Lonely Alone.” They rounded out the set list with a cover of Queen‘s “Fat Bottomed Girls.”
During the set, The Band Perry’s Kimberly Perry admitted she always loved to sing along with “Sugar, We’re Goin Down,” but she didn’t know the correct lyrics until they started rehearsing for this show. Fall Out Boy bass player Pete Wentz commented that his country music-loving uncle would finally think they’d made it since Pete’s band was now performing on CMT.
Look for CMT Crossroads: The Band Perry and Fall Out Boy to premiere Friday, November 29 at 10 p.m. ET on CMT.
