Lady Antebellum has a brand-new single hitting radio and iTunes this week titled “Compass.” Lady A’s Charles Kelley, Dave Haywood and Hillary Scott took this summer off the road for Hillary to have her first baby in July. They spent some time in the studio though, and “Compass” was a result of those sessions.
Hillary says, “Everything takes on new meaning once you have a child, and now I can hear the message of the song through Eisele‘s ears too. It opens up a whole new world to you as an artist.”
“Compass” breaks some new ground for Lady A musically as well.
“We tried some new things vocally,” Dave says, “and by adding foot stomps and hand claps to the acoustic sounds of the banjo, fiddle and mandolin, it really turned into something special.”
Fans can look for “Compass” to be included on a new deluxe version of Lady Antebellum’s album, Golden, due out November 12.
