The Grand Ole Opry is teaming up with Southwest Airlines to launch a new country music concert series in New York City’s Bryant Park. Nashville’s New Music in New York kicks off September 30 with a performance from Tyler Farr. Love and Theft is lined up for an October 3 slot, and Cassadee Pope has signed on to perform October 7.
The concerts are part of the Grand Ole Opry’s upcoming 88th birthday bash. One of the Opry’s signature microphones and a replica of the famed circle of wood at the center stage of the Opry House will be used for the concert series.
