The rumored Taylor Swift–Jennifer Lopez duet is just a pipe dream for now.
Us Weekly and E! News both reported this week that the two artists would work together on a song that would be featured on J-Lo’s next album. But even though they joined forces at one of Taylor’s concerts a few weeks ago, Taylor says they have no plans to meet up in the recording studio.
Making an appearance at the Toronto International Film Festival, Taylor sarcastically told E! News, “We haven’t spoken further about collaborating but I did read that on the Internet, so that’s nice to know that it’s always accurate.”
She added, “I mean, for me, I love her, she’s amazing. She has my number, we text, but we haven’t texted about going into the studio.”
Taylor and J-Lo performed the American Idol judge’s hit “Jenny from the Block” during Taylor’s concert at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on August 24.
