(NORWALK, Conn.) — The annual Oyster Festival in Norwalk, Conn., was the scene of a scary accident after a swing ride lost power and sent children falling to the ground.
Thirteen were injured, police say with many with minor injuries, however others were taken to local hospitals. The festival remained opened, but all of the rides were shut down on Sunday afternoon.
The children’s ride came to a halt just after 2 p.m., says the Connecticut Post. Witnesses said they heard two banging sounds before the ride stopped.
The Post says that the ride had been properly inspected.
