(SAN DIEGO) — A public memorial service was held Saturday for Christina Anderson and Ethan Anderson, who were allegedly killed by family friend James DiMaggio on Aug. 4.
Christina Anderson, 44, and her son Ethan Anderson, 8, of San Diego, were allegedly murdered by DiMaggio and left in a burning home on Aug. 4. DiMaggio then kidnapped Christina Anderson’s 16-year-old daughter Hannah Anderson, launching a nationwide Amber Alert and manhunt.
The Amber Alert ended once authorities killed DiMaggio and rescued Hannah Anderson in Idaho on Aug. 10.
The memorial service began at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Santee, ABC10 News in San Diego reports.
