(ATLANTA) — A baseball fan has died after falling from an upper deck at Atlanta’s Turner Field.
The man was transported to a hospital Monday night after falling about 65 feet from the ball park’s 400 level upper deck into the players’ parking area during a rain delayed game between the Atlanta Braves and the Phillies, according to ABC affiliate WSB-TV. The man was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
The Braves confirmed the incident in a statement Monday night, and referred all questions to the Atlanta Police Department, WSB-TV reported.
Though details about the events leading up to the man’s fall remain unclear, investigators have ruled the incident an accident.
