If you really want to scare the bejezus out of Taylor Swift, here’s how to do it: tell her she’s under arrest.
In a feature for Marie Claire magazine called “What’s On,” Taylor reveals what’s “on” a variety of things in her life, such as her feet — “red Keds and red [toenail] polish” — her nightstand — “my glasses” — and her s**t list — “Exes,” natch. But the list also finds Taylor revealing some of her hopes, dreams and anxieties. For example, asked to name what’s on her “bucket list,” she replies, “Get a college degree… somehow, someway.” And on her “wish list”? “Contentment, a mint-green bicycle, and the ingredients to make Shirley Temples,” she replies.
Asked to name what’s on her “Top Five Fears List,” Taylor names, in this order: “Sea urchins,” “Googling myself,” “earwigs,” “cynics” and “getting arrested.”
The people on Taylor’s idea dinner-party guest list include Will Ferrell, Conan O’Brien, and TV chef Ina Garten, who Taylor says “could help me cook, too!” What’s on her list of biggest regrets? Nothing. “Every one of my regrets has produced a song I’m proud of,” she explains.
And, finally, what would be on her gravestone, if she could write it? A quote from one of her own songs, “State of Grace”: “Love is a ruthless game unless you play it good and right.”
