Kenny Chesney woke up early to entertain fans in New York City’s Central Park on Good Morning America Friday. The performance comes in the middle of Kenny’s No Shoes Nation tour, where he’s giving the fans his all on the stage night after night.

“Preparing for our tour is trying to give our fans the best possible experience they can have at a show,” Kenny explained on GMA. “You know, I’ve been to some shows where I left there going, ‘Ehh. That was OK.’ I don’t ever want anybody to think that.”

Kenny sang “Pirate Flag,” “Summertime” and his latest single, “When I See This Bar,” for the fans. His outfit consisted of his usual jeans, cutoff t-shirt and straw hat, but the t-shirt sported his Spread the Love fund logo on it. That’s the fund Kenny spearheaded to help victims of the Boston Marathon bombing get the prosthetic limbs and care they need. Kenny named the fund for his song, “Spread the Love.”

He says, “We just started this fund and proceeds for the ‘Spread the Love’ song, which they can download and buy these shirts also. The money goes to help.”

Kenny’s No Shoes Nation tour continues through a two-night stand at Gillettte Stadium near Boston starting August 23.
