(NEW YORK) — The FBI was called in to New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport on Sunday after at least two customs agents got sick after opening a package at a postal processing facility.
Port Authority officials say the air tested positive for nerve gas, but that does not necessarily prove that some sort of chemical attack was intended. The positive test could be the result of a solvent that should not have been sent in the mail.
The investigation into the incident is still ongoing as of Sunday afternoon.
